Behind the label
How production works.
From cask reservation to dispatch, every stage has a typical duration and a clear moment where you approve before we spend a cent of your money on the next step. Typical total: about 8 weeks from artwork approval.

Stage 1
Cask reservation
We hold the specific cask against your project the moment the deposit is paid. The cask keeps maturing in bond until we schedule bottling.
Approval gate: You approve the cask and quote. Nothing is disgorged yet. - 1–2 weeks
Stage 2
Artwork development
You design the label in our studio — or upload finished artwork. Our designers refine typography, print bleed and finish choices, and prepare a proof.
Approval gate: You approve the visual proof (label, closure, packaging). - 3–5 days
Stage 3
Legal & compliance check
We verify that your label meets legal requirements for every destination country — producer, ABV, volume, allergen and government warnings — and adjust the proof if needed.
Approval gate: You approve the final compliant artwork for print. - 1–2 weeks
Stage 4
Disgorging & bottling
The cask is disgorged at our partner bottling hall. Filtration decisions (non-chill filter, cask strength, dilution) are made per your brief and recorded on the batch sheet.
Approval gate: You approve the batch sheet (ABV, filtration, yield). - 1 week
Stage 5
Labelling & closure
Labels, back labels, capsules and closures are applied. Any wax dips, hot foil or numbered neck tags are added by hand where specified.
Approval gate: Quality-check begins on the finished bottle. - 3–5 days
Stage 6
Quality assurance
Every bottle is inspected for fill level, seal, label alignment and finish. Any bottle that does not meet spec is removed from the run.
Approval gate: We sign off the run against your approved proof. - 3–5 days
Stage 7
Packing
Bottles are packed into impact-tested cases with the presentation packaging you selected (single box, tube, wooden case, or bulk trade case).
Approval gate: Shipping documents and duty paperwork prepared. - 5–20 business days
Stage 8
Dispatch & delivery
Insured freight to your destination country. Duties are handled per your shipping quote; adult signature is required on delivery.
Approval gate: You confirm delivery. Damage claims accepted within 7 days.
